Cooling Water Scale and Corrosion Inhibitors are chemical compounds that inhibit scale formation in the heat exchangers and prevent corrosion or rusting of heat exchangers at severe water conditions. If it is not treated correctly, a cooling system can rapidly become choked with scale and corrosion products and become a breeding ground for all manner of problematic microbes. The cooling tower itself can become fouled with microbial slime, algal growths and if incorrectly treated can be the cause of legionnaires disease.

CHEMTEX’S range of Scale and Corrosion Inhibitor are effective in severe conditions of hard and saline make-up water from LSI of *4.0 to 4.0. These products are designed and best suited for Ship Condenser (once through system). These chemical compounds give optimum heat transfer which extends the life of the systems. Dosage :

Cooling tower water scale and corrosion inhibitors are normally fed continuously to the re-circulating water. It can be injected by chemical dosing pump or fed directly to the ct sump (basin). The amount of to inhibit scale and corrosion formation depends on the quality of feed water and plant operating conditions. The specific dosage rates will be specified by the csl technical representative.
